Diabetes, Heart Health and Aerobics
Posted by Randy Wood under: Diabetes.
It is a known fact that working out on a regular basis is beneficial to your body. Lot’s of people cling to the idea that aerobics is an excellent way for your body to remain and feel healthy. A healthy heart for people with diabetes is critical, and keeping your eye on aerobics in conjunction with a healthy heart can go a long way in providing you with a long and happy life.
The benefits of aerobics are enormous for diabetics and non diabetics alike and go far beyond what we will discuss in this particular article. My purpose is to get across the point that your heart requires exercise to be healthy and aerobics is one of the best ways to keep it healthy.
The risk for heart problems in a diabetic is extreme without proper diet and exercise. High blood pressure and high cholesterol are risk factors for many diseases and conditions, including diabetes. They damage your heart vessels and are two key components in metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is a group of metabolic symptoms in one person, including obesity, a high fat diet, and lack of exercise. Having metabolic syndrome increases your risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Implementing a healthy lifestyle of diet and exercise can turn the diagnosis around and reverse or prevent high blood pressure, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. Aerobics is an excellent choice of exercise to fight these risks and keep your heart healthy.
The main point relating to aerobics and a healthy heart is that when performing aerobics you are working your lungs and heart and they are consistently working harder than when your activity is normal. The more aerobics you perform, the harder your heart must work. Making aerobics a part of your normal exercise routine forces your heart to grow and remain stronger.
The stronger your heart, the healthier you are. So putting together a routine of aerobics for heart health is a smart choice for diabetics. Just keep it simple and build upon that healthy lifestyle of diet and exercise.
As always, confer with your doctor and take your time developing a routine of aerobics that will benefit you.
To your healthy heart
